What does Microsoft Azure offer?
Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing platform from Microsoft. Azure is an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) at the same time. Azure has officially been in existence since 2010, and is aimed at software developers. Ninety percent of the Fortune 500 companies already use Microsoft Azure.
The platform bundles numerous IT services and enables you to comprehensively outsource your infrastructure to the cloud. Azure contains more than 100 services. For example, these enable the development of applications using open-source technologies, modernisation of apps using serverless computing and the use of artificial intelligence.
You can use Azure to integrate applications, data and devices via Logic Apps connectors. This is possible for Office 365, Salesforce, Google services, Twitter and Dropbox, for example.
Azure is used by public authorities, health services, financial service providers, the manufacturing industry, the retail industry and many other sectors.

Microsoft Azure Cloud in Germany
Microsoft Azure is available in Germany via a trusteeship solution. This enables Microsoft to meet the strong German requirement for data security. T-Systems is the data trustee. T-Systems controls access to customers’ data. The computer centres used for MS Azure are located in Germany, so that the data also remains inside Germany. The two computer centres are in Frankfurt am Main and Magdeburg. Worldwide, over 100 computer centres operate in conjunction with Microsoft Azure.
